AVIKA Research Foundation is a small, independent biotech research lab in Jabalpur led by Dr. Asha Khanna — mentoring graduate students and advancing research on how plant extracts and environmental exposures affect human and animal cells.
Since retiring as Professor of Zoology after 39 years, Dr. Khanna founded AVIKA Research Foundation to continue the work that mattered most to her: rigorous cell-based research, and mentoring the next generation of scientists.
Our research centers on how plant extracts and chemical exposures act on living cells — with an eye toward both toxicology and therapeutic potential.
Dr. Khanna is a zoologist and toxicologist with 39 years of teaching and research experience, and has supervised more than ten students to successful Ph.D. completion. Her work has produced 64 publications and 141 citations.
